2050 - A short story

The field shut down and my bed vibrates soft but clearly. I awake fast and I am fresh – like every morning. What a cool night, it was a short one but I had a deep sleep and I am totally relaxed. I could not imagine to sleep without the mental energy field, which let me feel being near mother - at real home.

Although this technology is quite expensive, my company pays for it. They want, that I am able and willing to my very best for them. That is the contract: We do our very best for each other. Without that I would not have signed the contract. You know, it is simple: We all understood that the best for each individual is the best for all. For nature, for other people, for citizens and for the companies.

I have heard from beginning of the century when people were so stressed and they were so afraid same time. Lot of them did earn much money but they did not really know how to convert that into satisfaction. Crazy! That has changed. As technology and the understanding for nature has grown significantly, we do not need to work day by day just for money. No doubt, money is still important, but even more important is the realization of the real potential everyone do have.

So being in good spirits I jump out of my bed, take a full-body shower and afterwards I chose the revitalisation and drying program. I am nearly ready to work now. My day will start with a virtual group meeting at Naturebucks. Naturebucks is a café in town offering physical-holistic meeting possibilities. As most of us brain workers today works from home, these kind of café offers a good chance to have a nice morning walk with a fruitful meeting and a healthful breakfast.

After putting on my clothes I connect my lifenet interface. Lifent was called internet in the past. But it has changed dramatically as it did become moire and more an essential part of our life. Today we are always connected to lifenet. The connector enables us to communicate continuously – if we want. You can imagine, the protection industry plays a big role in live today. The basic connector contains audio, visual and voice interfaces. My company pays an advanced one for me. It is a brand new direct-brain connector. With that I am directly connected. It is very near to reality.

Walking to Naturebucks I communicate with my assistants Alan and Linda. Alan and Linda are personal lavatars. Lavatars are intelligent livenet-robots, I can communicate with them like with other humans and I can share lot of work with them. Before they were developed 10 years ago, most lavatars were driven by Indian lavatar centres.

Part of my time I am working as a livenet spam protector. That means I protect spamming people against the powerful communities. It is like in a Zoo, everyone want to contact them, give them something to eat, wants to have fun with them. And livenet makes that very easy. Spammers are are a dying breed and we have learned to take care about all historic cultures independently - whether they are idiotic or not.

Most of my time I am working as a livenet realism protector. This is very serious, as with the new protector generation lots of people can't distinguish between reality and fiction. Beginning of 2000 there did exist an internet service called Second World, it was deducted from virtual reality. Today we have a real virtuality. And this, believe me, this can be very confusing.

At 10am I have that meeting with my colleagues. We work for the virtual company RealProt Ltd.. There exist no physical company building or something like that. Everything is virtual and is shared on different online services and servers. RealProt employees works worldwide. I am a solution maintainer and today we have a final discussion concerning a new product. These kind of meetings are very powerful and physical-holistic meeting rooms are best choice for that kind of a meeting. We all are very touched employees so our meetings are always positive but this one will be very emotional as well. Physical-holistic meeting rooms produces a scenario where you see, feel and taste each other. Like in reality.

And the best is, the next versions of Lavatars will be able to act as a replacement.
